RAW vs JPEG

What are three advantages of a RAW file:
- has a higher dynamic range
- has at least 8 bits per color
- is uncompressed
What is one disadvantage of a RAW file:
- not as sharp
What are three advantages of a JPEG file: 
- is higher in contrast
- sharper
- can be processed by one's camera
What is one disadvantage of a JPEG file: 
- lower in dynamic range

- it captures all the data

- one has control over the compression of the final image

- one must check if their camera has the option to shoot in RAW format
- one must realize that RAW files are larger than JPEG files
- one can also convert RAW images to JPEG

- one must learn how to use RAW files if one is looking for greater flexibility and processing options

- raster graphics are composed of pixel while vector graphics are composed of paths

- jpeg is usually lossy
- psd is lossless
- tiff is lossless
- dng is lossless
2. What are common uses for each? By this I mean where would I publish each of them for the highest quality.
- jpeg is used to compose and download/upload photos
- tiff is used for exchanging raster graphics
- psd used to layer, edit, or crop images
- dng is a RAW file format  
- nef is also a RAW file format
3. Can you create this type of file in your camera?
- jpeg: yes
- tiff: no
- psd: no
- dng: yes
- nef: yes
